Silvercar by Audi, the automaker's premium rental car service, recently announced an exciting new addition to its roster, the all-electric e-tron® Sportback. The stylish fastback variant of Audi's e-tron SUV combines the spacious practicality of a crossover and the sporty elegance of a four-door coupe in a dynamic, fun-to-drive luxury vehicle with zero tailpipe emissions.
In addition to being the only rental car company to offer the e-tron Sportback, Silvercar by Audi also enables qualified Audi drivers to try out the all-electric crossover at no additional charge via the "Always Audi," program. Always Audi provides qualified current owners and lessees with seven complimentary Silvercar by Audi rental days. The addition of the e-tron Sportback to the Silvercar lineup allows for an "extended test drive," so drivers can try out the EV experience without a purchase commitment.
About the Audi e-tron
The Audi e-tron is an all-electric midsize SUV powered by an all-wheel-driving dual-motor powertrain rated at 355 horsepower and 414 pound-feet of torque. But shift it into Sport mode, and output rises to 402 horsepower and 490 lb-ft for up to 8 seconds, delivering even more exciting acceleration. An 86.5-kWh lithium-ion battery provides an EPA-estimated range of 222 miles for the e-tron and 218 miles for the e-tron Sportback.
The Audi e-tron is easy to charge overnight, capable of completely replenishing its battery in ~10 hours with Level 2 (240-volt) equipment. For longer journeys, the e-tron leverages its 150-kW fast-charging compatibility, which can charge 80% of its capacity in ~30 minutes. All e-tron models include 250 kWh of complimentary charging within the first two years of ownership on the Electrify America network.
