The 2019 Audi e-tron SUV helped the automaker launch the next generation of its electric lineup. With "e-tron" evolving to represent the overall Audi EV brand, the midsize SUV was renamed Q8 e-tron for the 2024 model year. More than just a rebadging, the 2024 SQ8 e-tron received an extensive refresh with updated styling, faster charging capability, more range, and re-tuned driving dynamics. Now, Audi is increasing the excitement for its flagship electric SUV, introducing the all-new 2024 Audi SQ8 e-tron.
Elevated Performance
The Audi SQ8 e-tron turns up the electrons with an additional rear motor, bringing the total to three. The resulting 496 horsepower and 718 pound-feet of torque are increases of 94 hp and 228 lb-ft over the standard Q8 e-tron. With boost mode activated, the electrifying midsize SUV accelerates from zero to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds.
Engaging Driving Dynamics
The SQ8 e-tron's third motor does more than affect straight-line speed. It also improves handling by powering the rear wheels individually, enabling precise torque distribution nearly five times faster than a mechanical differential. The dual-rear-motor setup improves turn-in, making the larger SUV surprisingly agile and maneuverable. To help reign in the extra power, the Audi SQ8 uses six-piston red-painted front brake calipers to clamp 15.7-inch rotors.
S design Interior
The Audi SQ8 e-tron's cabin reinforces its luxurious, performance-oriented character with 12-way power-adjustable S-logo sport seats, contrast diamond stitching, Valcona leather upholstery, and Carbon interior trim replacing the Q8 e-tron's open-pore wood options. Standard equipment highlights include:
- 10.1-inch upper and 8.6-inch lower MMI touch displays
