Audi has allowed drivers to sync their phones to their vehicles for years. But a common question is how do you sync your phone? Because this is such a common question, we thought we would take the time to explain how synching your phone works.
Synching Your Apple or Android Phone
To connect your Apple or Android device to your Audi, you must access the device's Bluetooth. Here's step-by-step instructions on how you can sync your phone.
- Ensure Bluetooth is activated on your phone
- Turn your vehicle on, and put it in Park
- On the infotainment system, press Phone > Connect Mobile Device. The system will now begin searching for your Apple or Android device
- Select your device from the touchscreen, and a PIN will appear on the screen and phone. Confirm the PIN matches on both devices
- Confirm all messages that appear on your phone. On iPhone, a prompt will appear asking to enable Wireless CarPlay. Do Not click "Not Now" you’ll disable your Bluetooth connection.
- Your mobile device will now be paired. As long as your Audi is turned on, your phone will be automatically connected while Bluetooth is enabled
